Our Restaurant Management Sofwware Goal

 

 

The Beginning:
The summer of 2001, 5 Restaurant Owners and Managers sat down to discuss options for an electronic reservation system. After what had been a period of extensive research, at this meeting they came to the conclusion that what was available on the market was not sufficient.

The available systems lacked the ability to grow, to get to the information at their home computers or other offices located throughout their organization (well, for an additional price, of course), and the ability to integrate seamlessly with their website, to give a few examples.

Owners and Managers Needed a Reservation System

 


Though this was still 2001 and most computers were still on modems, the world was changing very fast. The Restaurant Owners and Managers saw that the traditional way of doing business, faxing, putting files in drawers, using one program to make a schedule, and another program to handle budgeting, etc., was not how the future was going to evolve.

Based on this vision, they proceeded to create a suite of modules that communicated with each other, that share data when and where it's useful, and that can eliminate risk by being in the right place at the right time.

Today:
Over the years, the founders of BlueSkies have worked diligently in real restaurants, with Managers, Owners, Chefs, Sommeliers, Hosts, Servers, and Guests to build a system that provides the ease of use, stability, and speed that is essential to the "Pressure Cooker" environment of restaurants.

As restaurant people, not entrepreneurs that have hired someone to create a computer program or computer programmers looking for a niche to fill, the founders of BlueSkies are a team of individuals that have spent their lives taking care of guests in award winning restaurants. They wear the same shoes as their clients: they manage staff, write checks, pay bills, prepare food, open wine, and yes, deal with both unhappy guests and happy guests. They seek to acheive what all succesful restaurant people seek to acheive: High Guest Satisfaction.
